The Mengly J. Quach WordSpeed Contest is an exhilarating contest in which students come to the whiteboard and write as many words as they can within 60 seconds on a topic chosen by the judge. This contest is highly recommended for starters to get out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves. It helps students build their confidence, improve writing speed, expand vocabulary, boost self-esteem, and exercise their critical thinking skills.
